The most serious of all the Tracy family, Virgil is 24. With a diploma from Denver School of Advanced Technology, he is the ideal man to control the many varied and complex machines Thunderbird 2 carries.

Virgil never minces his words - if he has something to say, he just says it. His opinions have never failed to be correct.

Virgil has no sense of fear whatever and his iron nerve makes him one of the bravest of the pilots. He explains that fear is a necessary sensation - without it there is foolhardiness, and as the pilot of Thunderbird 2, he cannot afford to put desperate people at risk by acts of carelessness.
